Your AC unit can be quite the eyesore to your beautiful outdoor landscape. With the summer quickly approaching, an air conditioner is necessary, but that doesn’t mean it has to be in plain sight. There are plenty of ways to hide, mask, conceal, and block the unit.
Fence it in. One of the most common approaches is to simply hide the air conditioner from view. Build a fence around the unit with materials and colors that match your home.
Build a structure. Instead of just blocking the unit with a fence, why not build something around it that you can benefit from? You can incorporate a shed-like structure to house your tools and other gardening supplies.
Add a vegetation screen. A plant screen is a good budget alternative. If you add a trellis, it will cover the air conditioner, but will still leave you access to the unit from behind. You can add climbing plants like beans, peas, and tomatoes.
Make a guided path. The key to hiding your AC unit is to distract the eye elsewhere. Guide your guests down a path with lush bushes, trees, and flowers to keep them occupied.
