Furnace Repairs & Heater Services in Waynesboro & Surrounding Areas
We’re not your average heating and cooling company. And, the guys coming into your home are not your average HVAC technicians. That’s just the beginning of the good news!
Our techs are great at troubleshooting, sheet metal fabrication, gas piping, electrical wiring, and everything else to get you and your family back to comfortable! The last thing you need on a scorching hot day or a sub-zero night is a tech scratching his head as he thumbs through the installation manuals for your system!Â
But, they are much more than great techs. They’re nice guys. They’ll take care of you and your home. They’ll show up on time in a clean uniform and with a fully stocked truck ready to get the job done right. They will honestly let you know if you need a simple repair or replacement.
Once you work with us, you won’t hesitate to recommend Blue Mountain to a friend or family member. That’s the only way we’ll have it!
“After receiving 3 separate proposals for replacing our old oil-fired furnace with a new HVAC system, we chose to hire Blue Mountain Plumbing, Heating & Cooling for the project. The project technician and installation crew were courteous, professional and patient in answering all of our questions. The job was completed in the agreed to time and we are totally happy with the new system. We would highly recommend Blue Mountain Plumbing, Heating & Cooling to anyone seeking their expertise.” – Gene & Carol Tilles

Heating Repair & Installation FAQ for Staunton, Lexington, & Harrisonburg
How often should you have your furnace serviced
We recommend your furnace be serviced twice a year, once before heating season, and once before air conditioning season, especially if your furnace forces air for both heat and ac. For more information, read about the benefits of replacing your furnace filter.
How much does a furnace maintenance cost?
We would recommend they get a Service Partner Agreement (maintenance agreement) with us that cost $155.40 and includes one annual service. Otherwise what we charge is based upon what we see when we get there but the average one time furnace maintenance cost typically ranges from $150 to $200.
How do you maintain a gas furnace?
We have a check off sheet of the items we check during a maintenance visit. A copy is attached. In addition, we clean the unit, verify the overall unit operation, cycle the unit a couple times via the thermostat and lube any field serviceable bearings. If we see something isn’t tight or isn’t secure, we address that as part of our maintenance.
Do gas furnaces require annual maintenance?
Yes! A furnace is something you want to address proactively not reactively. If you wait for it to stop working, in the process of becoming inoperable, it may have damaged surrounding components increasing the repair cost. In addition, waiting for it to stop working will mean you will be cold for some period of time. Getting annual maintenance allows for the system to checked address any problems found proactively. This will keep your repair costs to a minimum and reduce downtime.
Will a Mini-Split system heat and cool my room(s)?
Yes! Mini-split systems are temperature adjustable ductless heat or a/c units in one!
